Alessandro
Scacchia was born on August 28th 1978, in San
Benedetto del Tronto, a quiet place covered
of palms on the East coast of central Italy.
From his earliest memories he has been obsessed
with the sense of beauty, trying to represent
it through the female form and attempting to
celebrate the power of women's sexuality, especially
when expressed by the mind rather than just
the physical.
After the high school graduation he decided
to attend Scuola Romana dei Fumetti art school
in Pescara, where he had the chance to improve
his artistic skills and technique thanks to
excellent teachers and artists such as Maurizio
Di Vincenzo, Gustavo Trigo and Adriano De Vincentiis,
who is nowdays a great friend of him.
His first professional work was published in
2001 for the American independent comics market.
"Raven's End", a b&w miniseries
written by Kevin "Marvel Mangaverse"
Gunstone. That collaboration led to the creation
of Alessandro’s most loved character:
Zahara - The Venus of Time, a tribute to Barbarella,
the 60's cult movie starring Jane Fonda.
The following year, he started to work as freelance
comic book artist and illustrator for several
publishing companies in Europe and United States.
Furthermore, Alessandro Scacchia pursues his
love of the Bizarre and Fetish, producing covers
for adult magazines and working on new comics
projects based on Fetish/Bdsm themes.
